Information: Elvis by Request was a 33 1/3 RPM EP the size of a 45 RPM single, but with a small spindle hole. Featured were two songs written for the film Flaming Star, and two number one hits from the previous year. One track, Flaming Star, reached #14 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. A still photo from the film adorned the EP's cover. Officially called a "Compact 33 Double", Elvis by Request was a million-seller and the only 33 1/3 Elvis EP released to the public. The "LPC" in the RCA number stood for Long Playing Compact. |
