White Fringe & Multi Colored Beads
Elvis kicked off his third Las Vegas season on August 10th 1970 wearing White Fringe & Multicolored Beads. This is a stylish, one-colored white jumpsuit with 50 thick white fringes in diagonal lines making a "V"-shape just below the chest opening. This outfit might be inspired by Native American outfits. The fringes are about 8 inches long in the middle, and a little longer up to the shoulders, about 10 inches. These fringes are decorated with beads in the colors white, yellow, purple, turquoise and red. There are 9 gold colored eyelets on each side of the chest opening from the bottom up to the collar. There are three white cuff buttons on each side of the sleeves. The belt Elvis wore was thick, white macramé decorated with the same beads as on the rest of the suit. In addition to opening the season in this outfit, he wore it several times, such as at the midnight show August 13th, and on the dinner show August 15th, to name a few. Beaded Fringe or Pearl Fringe, as is also known, was probably not used after this season, if not in Las Vegas February 1971. Hopefully this suit and belt is in Graceland's archives, but this version of the Fringe suit has never been seen on public display.

The only difference between the first and the second version of this fringe suit is that the beads are less and only three colors were used. Elvis wore the green macramé belt first, used together with the White Brocade & Green Trim on February 1970. On this September tour, this belt was used on the first and last concert. On September 12th in Miami, at 03:00 p.m. Elvis wore a beautiful blue macramé belt. This suit was probably used for the first and last time on this tour.
