Information:
For The Heart was written by Dennis Linde and recorded by Elvis at Graceland on the night of February 5-6, 1976. Composer Linde played bass on the recording. (It was overdubbed at a later date). The single release had an 11-week stay on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, peaking at #28 (on the strength of the flip side, Hurt). For the Heart reached #6 on the country chart.
