Elvis gravou (You're the) Devil in Disguise em 26 de maio de 1963, nos estúdios da RCA, em Nashville. O seu lançamento em single alcançou a 3ª posição na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard durante a permanência de 11 semanas que teve nessa tabela. Chegou à 9ª posição na tabela de rhythm and blues. Na Inglaterra a canção chegou ao topo das tabelas e lá ficou durante uma semana, em agosto de 1963. A gravação vendeu mais de um milhão de exemplares em todo o mundo. Bill Giant, Bernie Baum e Florence Kaye são os compositores. Nos finais de 1963 Rex Guido gravou uma versão de (You're the) Devil in Disguise em alemão (Capitol 5076).
