Informação:
High Heel Sneakers foi escrita por Robert Higginbotham e gravada por ele sob
o nome Tommy Tucker em 1964. A gravação de Tucker (Checker 1067), com o
título Hi-Heel Sneakers, alcançou o 11º lugar na tabela Hot 100 da
Billboard. Outras gravações populares da canção incluem a de Jerry Lee
Lewis (Smash 1930) em 1964, a de Stevie Wonder (Tamla 54119) em 1965, a de
Ramsey Lewis (Cadet 5531) em 1966 e a de José Feliciano (RCA 47-9641) em
1968.
Elvis gravou High Heel Sneakers em 11 de setembro de 1967, nos estúdios da
RCA em Nashville. Charlie McCoy tocou harmónica na gravação. Iriam passar 13
anos até High Heel Sneakers ser lançada em disco. O lançamento em single não
entrou para as tabelas.
