Known Only to Him é uma melodia de gospel escrita por Stuart Hamblen, filho de um pregador Metodista e originalmente gravada por ele nos finais de 1952 (Columbia 21012). Em 1956 George Beverly Shea, o vocalista de Billy Graham nos seus encontros religiosos durante anos, gravou a canção (RCA 47-6414).

Elvis gravou Known Only to Him em 31 de Outubro de 1960, nos estúdios da RCA em Nashville. O take 5 é o que ouvimos no disco.
