Esta canção junta bocados de velhos versos religiosos, bem como Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus (um hino de 1922 de Helen Lemmel e Harry Clarke), cantada num medley. Nearer My God to Thee é uma canção de 1840 da autoria de Sarah Fuller Adams e Lowell Mason. Nestas actuações, lançadas pela primeira vez em 1994, podemos ouvir J.D. Sumner a fazer os seus finais especiais para Elvis. No final desta em particular, podemos ouvir Elvis dizer, "Eu estava a cantar em tom grave, mas ele tapou-me por completo. Pôs-me fora de cena."
