Steamroller Blues foi escrita por James Taylor e gravada pela primeira vez no seu álbum de 1970, Sweet Baby James (Warner Bros. 1843).

 

Elvis cantou Steamroller Blues ao vivo várias vezes e no seu especial televisivo de 1973, Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii. A versão do concerto foi lançada em single. Steamroller Blues teve uma permanência de 12 semanas na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard, chegando à 17ª posição. Chegou ao 31º lugar na tabela country.
