Elvis gravou Wild in the Country em 7 de novembro de 1960 no Radio Recorders para o seu filme de 1961 com o mesmo título. O seu lançamento em single teve uma breve estadia de cinco semanas na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard, chegando ao 26º lugar. No LP inglês, Elvis for Everyone, foram acrescentadas maracas à faixa instrumental. Wild in the Country foi escrita por Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore e George Weiss.
