Elvis cantou Young and Beautiful três vezes no seu filme de 1957, Jailhouse Rock. Gravou a canção em 30 de abril de 1957, no Radio Recorders. Não é exatamente aparente qual take ou takes foram usados pela RCA em disco. As possibilidades são o take 18 (na realidade, uma divisão do take 12 e 18 e frases retiradas de cerca de outros três takes), 19 ou 22. Algumas fontes têm indicado que o take 22 foi utilizado no lançamento original, o EP Jailhouse Rock. Na Alemanha Ocidental, Young and Beautiful foi lançada num single com Lover Doll (RCA 47-9224).
