Information: A Touch of Gold, Volume 1 contained three of Elvis's top 10 RCA hits, along with an original Sun Records release. The cover had a shot of Elvis wearing his gold lamé suit. This was the same photo that later appeared on the LP 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't be Wrong - Elvis' Gold Records, Volume 2. A fan club card from Elvis was enclosed with the EP. A few copies had a paper insert that read, "Thank you for buying this and other RCA records." A Touch of Gold, Volume 1, which was a Gold Standard Series original release, did not chart. |
