Information: To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Elvis's signing with RCA Records, the company issued this eight-LP boxed set. Each record sleeve had a beautiful color photo on one side and recording information on the other. The 87 performances represented 78 different songs. Sixty-five of the performances were previously unreleased by RCA. One song - Beyond the Reef - had never been issued in any form. A highlight for most fans was the four songs from  Elvis's last appearance (May 6, 1956) at the New Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas. The first pressing of 250,000 copies quickly sold out. Elvis Aron Presley had a 14-week stay on Billboard's Top LPs chart, peaking at #27. On the Hot Country LPs chart, the boxed set reached #8.
