Information: Elvis, Volume 1 was basically a mini-version of the Elvis LP released on the same day. It featured four songs from side 1 of that album and the same cover photo. Three of the four songs reached Billboard's Top 100 chart, although they have never been released in the United States as singles: Love Me (#6), When My Blue Moon Turns to Gold Again (#27), and Paralyzed (#59). Elvis, Volume 1 reached number one (for two weeks) on Billboard's EP chart. Within a month it had sold over 500,000 copies and eventually reached the one million mark - the first EP in history to do so. An extremely rare version of this EP was released using the same front cover as the EP Elvis Presley (RCA EPA 747). The back cover featured a story about Elvis's first appearance on Stage Show.
