ELVIS 100% AT VINTAGE FESTIVAL 2017 AT FIL

Legends:
Giant poster of the fair, at the entrance of Pavillion 4.
The look of our stand when we finished setting it up, on 17th October (before the fair opened)

For the third time in a row (and the fourth year of existance of this fair), Elvis 100% was present during Vintage Festival, at the International Lisbon's Fair (FIL), between 18 and 22 October 2017, with its own stand and activities promoted by us, with the presence and sponsorship of Motoclasse.

Following 5 days of activities, FIL ended with 62,639 visitors, which corresponded to a 25% increase when compared to last year, showing that more and more people seek, together with the growth shown in the represented sectors (jointly with other fairs, namely Intercasa, SIl - Salão Imobiliário and LxD - Lisboa Design) and nowadays optimism, to give a new look to their way of life. The more than 1,000 companies, brands and individual representations (among them, Elvis 100%) that filled the four pavillions of FIL, in an area that covered more than 40,000 square meters, gave room to an atmosphere of interaction, energy, creativity or work meetings, with more than 200 scheduled activities.

Followers and interested people of this vintage culture, marked by several brands and tendencies, have many memories, stories and curiosities of back then behind to support them and which marked the personal lives and times of a collective which still gathers aficionados today, ranging from furniture, clothing, makeup, music, automobiles and motorcycles, among many other pleasures. Among buying and selling directly, musical animation (as ours) and dancing, there was plenty of room for the Miss Vintage competitin, tattooing, hair cuts and socializing.

RTP marked this fourth edition with its Memory channel, with shows broadcasted directly from FIL, with the presence of many figures that still mark today the "box that changed the world", such as Júlio Isidro (who visited our stand), Nuno Markl, Fernando Alvim, Álvaro Costa and Inês Gonçalves. Television equipment of other times showed a bit of what the TV pioneers in Portugal have done, showing the younger ones, of the digital world, that everything was possible with determination, passion and work.

And indeed was with that kind of determination, passion and work that we marked our presence at Vintage Festival in Pavillion 4. Just like in previous years, we have given invitations and free tickets to members and friends of the fan club who wanted to visit us. We have exhibited Elvis Presley material, an Honda C110 motorcycle model (dark blue version) and had live performances by the Vinyl Gang, in our stand, who have covered hits of the King's career. We have met friends, made new ones and new contacts (it happens all the time!) and we also had lots of fun. We were just sorry that not all the ones who wanted to be present could not do so and that we haven't managed (it's lots of things!) to photograph all the friends and fans that came by our stand. We leave you, however, with some photos on what happened over there, not forgetting to advise a visit to the photo album that we have published in our Facebook page (see the link below) where many, many other photos are posted with better quality.

Our deep appreciation to FIL for the invitation and the organization, which keeps on getting better each year.
