White Cossack
Las Vegas, Season 2 – 57 Shows – January 26th – February 23rd 1970

White Cossack is like all suits this year, a one-piece suit (jumpsuit). This one is a one-colored white outfit. A fun and decorative twist which really made this outfit is the collar, which is decorated hand weaved macramé in white and gold. The collar is tied around the neck, and had four knots. The bottom knot is hanging down each side of the chest opening, which meant Elvis had to spend quite some time getting out of the outfit. On each side of the sleeves, there are three white cuff buttons.

The belt Elvis used to this suit was also weaved macramé in white and gold, a bit more narrow than the other belts used this season. This belt was also used in November 1970 to the Lace suit, and later to a two piece suit in August 1972. As usual, the belt was tied to left side with fringes hanging down to the knee. No scarf was used with this suit because of the macramé around the neck.

White Choker, White Pearl or White Pearl Neck Chords, as is also known, was worn by Elvis in Las Vegas season 2 several times. The first time was in January 26th 1970, opening show. And he wore it again in Houston, Texas, in February 27th at the 02:00 p.m. show, as well as March 1st, also at the 02:00 p.m. show.

White Cossack can be seen on display at Graceland today, the belt is probably in a private collection.
