White Herringbone
suit is a white two-piece suit, with the same design as the two previous
suits, with simple designed pants. The two inches white fabric belt,
reminiscent of a karate belt, has the same herringbone pattern with
approximately six inches long fringes at the end. The belt was tied around
the top part of the outfit.
Elvis usually used a light
blue scarf to this white suit, sometimes he wore the same type of scarf as
the one he wore in the television special from 1968. In this Las Vegas
season he used a black scarf with a scarf ring. Elvis’s band – later called
the “TCB Band” – also wore scarves in this same way during the first two Las
Vegas seasons.
White Herringbone,
White Cossak or White Karate Style suit, can be see on display
at Graceland.
