The plastic artists H.
Mourato and Henrique Tigo, with their roots in Vila Nova do Ceira, are
going to exhibit their own works in Graceland, the house of the legendary
Elvis Presley, King of Rock'n'Roll, during the Elvis 19th Annual Art
Contest and Exhibit Week 2003, as invited artists to represent Portugal.
In the previous year, Henrique Tigo and his father, H.Mourato, had already
been invited to participate in the same exhibition and this year the
invitation was renewed and, according to them, "It is with great pride
that we accept this honourable invitation," so they can exhibit, once
again, their works in Graceland, house-museum of Elvis Presley, visited by
more than 700 million fans per year.
The exhibition will be
running from August 8 until August 13, 2003.
Note by Elvis 100%: This article has a mistake. It is not
700 milion fans who visit Graceland per year, but more or less an average
of 800,000 people who do visit this house/museum.
