Forward » Elvis 100% was contacted by SIC to be present in a segment of around 45 minutes, dedicated to Elvis Presley, in the "Casa Feliz" TV show, hosted by João Baião and Diana Chaves. We have been represented by Célia Carvalho, Jorge Custódio and Vítor Correia and all have spoken a bit about their experience as Elvis fans and how the fan club was created.
The TV show also counted on the participation of the Elvis tribute artist, Francisco Peças, who sung Suspicious Minds. He was accompanied by his 24 year old daughter, Bruna Peças, who sung a beautiful rendition of Love Me Tender.
Another Elvis tribute artist was present, António Carlos Coimbra, who sung In the Ghetto, in an accoustic version and still one of his originals.
Aníbal Simão, Elvis fan and owner
of the Elvis Barbershop Museum in Oliveira de Azeméis, also spoke
about his experience as a fan of the King of Rock and Roll. The young Brazilian 21 year old singer, Aaron Gabriel, a big Elvis fan since he was a child, also embelished the show with two Elvis renditions, accompaning himself on his guitar. He sung Jailhouse Rock (as per request of the production) and he ended the show, with a beautiful performance of Always On My Mind.
Our thanks to SIC, for the invitation. Below we leave you with some illustrative photos of what happened backstage and during the show.
