Information:
Aaron Schroeder and Wall Gold wrote Good Luck Charm for Elvis, who recorded the tune on October 15, 1961, at RCA’s Nashville studios. In April 1962, Good Luck Charm replaced Shelley Fabares’s Johnny Angel at number one on the Hot 100 chart. After two weeks it was replaced at the top position by the Shirelles’s Soldier Boy. Good Luck Charm spent a total of 13 weeks on the chart and became a million-seller. It was Elvis’s last number one single until 1969. In England the record was number one for five weeks.
