(Gaither)

Information:
He Touched Me, a William J. Gaither gospel song, was recorded by Elvis on May 18, 1971, at RCA's Nashville studios. When first released, the single played at about 33 1/4 RPM, although it had the larger 45 RMP center hole. RCA pressed about 10,000 copies before discovering the error. The single did not chart.

Lyrics:

Shackled by a heavy burden
'Neath a load of guilt and shame
Then the hand of Jesus touched me
And now I am no longer the same

For He touched me, He touched me
And oh, what joy that floods my soul
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole

Oh since I met this blessed Saviour
And since He cleansed and made me whole
Oh I never cease, never cease to praise Him
I'll shout it while eternity rolls

For He touched me, oh He touched me
And oh what a joy that floods my soul
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole
