I'll Be There

download

(Darin)

Information:
Bobby Darin wrote and recorded this tune for Atco Records (Atco 6167) in 1960. His recording reached # 79 on Billboards Hot 100 chart. Tony Orlando recorded Ill Be There (Epic 9622) in 1963, but it wasnt until 1964 that a successful version was released. Gerry and The Pacemakers reached # 14 on the Hot 100 chart with their recording (Laurie 3279).

Elvis recorded Ill Be There on January 23, 1969, at American Sound Studios. For some reason, Elviss version incorrectly lists Gabbard and Price as composers.

Lyrics:

I'll be there when all your dreams are broken

To answer your unspoken prayer, oh
The little things you're doin', oh, don't turn out right
Don't you worry, darlin', I'll be there

1. There whenever you need to know
That there is someone who cares, oh

So if your new love isn't your true love
Don't you worry, darlin', I'll be there

1. (repeat)

Don't you worry, darlin', I'll be there
Don't you worry, darlin', I'll be there

Don't you worry, darlin', I'll be there
