the last release by the band on Parlophone in the UK and Capitol Records in
the U.S.
Elvis recorded
Lady Madonna in an informal recording session, on 17 May 1971, which was
only found and released for the first time in 1995, in the box set Walk a
Mile in My Shoes.
Lyrics:
See how they run
Lady Madonna, children at your feet
Wonder how you manage to make ends meet
Saturday morning arrives without a suitcase
Sunday morning creep in like a nun
Friday's child forget to tie his boots lace
See how they run
Lady Madonna, children at your feet
Wonder if you're having fun
making ends meet
