Information:
My Boy was written by J. Claude François and Jean-Pierre Boutavre (English words by Bill Martin and Phil Coulter) and recorded by actor Richard Harris in 1971. His recording (Dunhill 4293) reached #41 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and #13 on the Easy-Listening chart.

Elvis recorded My Boy on December 12, 1973, at Stax Studios in Memphis. His single release in 1975 had an 11-week stay on the Hot 100 chart, peaking at #20. The song reached #14 on the country chart. My Boy was sung by Elvis in concert several times before he recorded it.

- My Boy / My Boy (RCA JH-10191) January 1975. Disc jockey promotional release. The stereo version was issued to promote the Good Times LP. It came with no picture sleeve, just a two-colour sleeve with “ELVIS PRESLEY – MY BOY” printed on it.

- My Boy / Thinking About You (RCA GB-10489) February 1976. Gold standard series reissue.

- Always On My Mind / My Boy (RCA PB-14090) July 1985. New single release pressed on purple vinyl.
