Welcome to My World

(Winkler / Hathcock)

This country song was written by Ray Winkler and John Hathcock and first recorded by Jim Reeves in 1963. In early 1964, Welcome to My World (RCA 47-8289) peaked at #2 on Billboard's country chart. Eddy Arnold had a moderate hit with the song (RCA 47-9993) in 1971.

Elvis sang Welcome to My World in his 1973 TV special Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii. It is this version (January 14, 1973) that RCA recorded.

Welcome to my world, w
on't you come on in
Miracles I guess still happen now and then
Step into my heart, leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world built with you in mind

Knock and the door shall be open, seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given the key to this heart of mine
I'll be waiting there with my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you, welcome to my world

Welcome to my world
