Em 23 de agosto de 1968 Elvis gravou Clean Up Your Own Backyard no United Recorders de Los Angeles. Foi cantada no seu filme de 1969, The Trouble With Girls (o lançamento em single alcançou a 35ª posição na tabela Hot 100 (durante oito semanas), a 74ª posição na tabela country e a 37ª na tabela Easy-Listening. Em 17 de outubro de 1980 Felton Jarvis acrescentou uma faixa instrumental completamente nova à voz de Elvis no Young'Un Sound, em Nashville, para o LP Guitar Man.
