Let Yourself Go foi escrita por Joy Byers para o filme de Elvis de 1968, Speedway. A sessão de gravação teve lugar em Junho de 1967 nos estúdios da MGM, em Culver City. Muito embora Let Yourself Go só tenha tido uma permanência de cinco semanas na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard, chegando ao 71º lugar, algumas fontes dizem que a canção vendeu mais de um milhão de exemplares. Let Yourself Go foi cantada numa cena de bordel para o especial televisivo de 1968, Elvis, mas foi cortada da difusão final porque não foi considerada apropriada. A faixa instrumental para essa versão foi gravada em 20 ou 21 de Junho de 1968, no Western Recorders, de Hollywood. A voz de Elvis foi gravada na NBC em 30 de Junho.
