Jerry Leiber e Mike Stoller escreveram Loving You para o filme de Elvis de 1957 com o mesmo título. Foram gravadas duas versões para o filme: uma versão rápida e uma lenta, tipo balada. A sessão de gravação teve lugar em 14 de fevereiro de 1957, no Radio Recorders. O take 12 da versão da balada e o take 21 da versão rápida foram os escolhidos como canções principais. Em 24 de fevereiro, Elvis gravou a rendição que seria lançada em disco. O take 4 foi o escolhido como sendo a canção principal. O lançamento em single teve uma permanência de 22 semanas na tabela Top 100 da Billboard, chegando à 28ª posição. Loving You chegou ao 15º lugar na tabela Country Disc Jockey. Em agosto de 1957, Teddy Bear / Loving You substituíram Searchin' / Young Blood dos Coasters no topo da tabela de rhythm and blues, onde ficou apenas durante uma semana antes de ser substituída por Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On de Jerry Lee Lewis. As vendas de Loving You excederam o milhão de exemplares.

Teddy Bear / Loving You (RCA 1013) foi o primeiro single de Elvis lançado pela RCA na Grã-Bretanha (julho de 1957).
