Elvis gravou She's Not You em 19 de Março de 1962 nos estúdios da RCA, em Nashville. O seu lançamento em single teve uma permanência de 10 semanas na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard, chegando ao 5º lugar. Foi Nº 13 na tabela de rhythm & blues e Nº 2 na tabela Easy-Listening. Apenas You Don't Know Me de Ray Charles (que Elvis viria a gravar mais tarde) impediu que She's Not You chegasse a primeiro lugar da última tabela atrás referida. O disco chegou a Nº 1 na Inglaterra e lá ficou por 3 semanas. As vendas mundiais totais ultrapassaram um milhão de exemplares. She's Not You foi escrita por Jerry Leiber, Mile Stoller e Doc Pomus e esta foi a primeira colaboração destes três compositores juntos.
