Jerry Leiber e Mike Stoller escreveram Treat Me Nice para o terceiro filme de Elvis, Jailhouse Rock. Elvis gravou duas versões da canção. A versão do filme foi gravada em 30 de abril de 1957, no Radio Recorders. O take 10 foi utilizado na banda sonora do filme. Esta versão permaneceu por lançar pela RCA até 1988. A versão em disco de Treat Me Nice foi gravada em 5 de setembro de 1957, no Radio Recorders. O take 15 foi o selecionado pela RCA para lançamento. O lançamento em single de Elvis teve uma permanência de 10 semanas na tabela Top 100 da Billboard, chegando à 27ª posição. Emparelhada com Jailhouse Rock, Treat Me Nice tirou o primeiro lugar a Honeycomb de Jimmie Rodgers na tabela de rhythm & blues. Depois de uma permanência de cinco semanas na primeira posição, foi substituída por You Send Me, de Sam Cooke. Treat Me Nice chegou à 11º posição da tabela Country Disc Jockey. As vendas ultrapassaram o milhão de exemplares.
