Information:
Elvis recorded (You’re the) Devil in Disguise on May 26, 1963, at RCA’s Nashville studios. His single release reached #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart during its 11-week stay on the chart. It peaked at #9 on the rhythm & blues chart. In England the song topped the charts for one week in August 1963. The recording sold over one million copies worldwide. Bill Giant, Bernie Baum and Florence Kaye are the composers. In late 1963 Rex Guido recorded a version of (You’re the) Devil in Disguise in German (Capitol 5076).
