(Weisman / Wayne)

Information:
Elvis sang Happy Ending in his 1963 movie, It Happened at the World’s Fair. The song was recorded in September 1962 at Radio Recorders, with vocal backing by the Jordanaires. In the film, Joan O’Brien also sings with Elvis. Happy Ending was written by Ben Weisman and Sid Wayne.

Lyrics:

1. Happy ending, happy ending
Give me a story with a happy ending
When boy meets girl and then they never part again
But live forever happily like you and me

Our love story gets me so upset
Like Romeo and Juliet
I'm not smart enough to figure why
Some folks enjoy a real good cry

1. (repeat)

Never thought that I would stand a chance

That you'd give me a second glance
Funny how fate can play the part
And give a guy a real good cry

1. (repeat)
When boy meets girl and then they never part again
But live forever happily like you and me
Like you and me, like you and me
Like you and me
