Indescribably Blue

(Glenn)

Information:
Indescribably Blue was written by Darrell Glenn and recorded by Elvis on June 10, 1966, at RCA’s Nashville studios. The single release had an eight-week stay on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, reaching # 33. In the beginning of the third phrase, “I smile and tell them, it’s been a day or two”, Elvis came in just a fraction of a second too early on the word I. Global sales have been estimated at over one million copies.

Lyrics:

Our friends all ask me t
he last time I saw you
I smile and tell them it's been a day or two
There'd no way to explain it, the way that I miss you
And my love, you have left me indescribably blue

I talk to your picture, my favourite one of you
I wish that you were here with me, but what good would it do
There'd be no way tell you the pain that I’ve been through
Oh, my love, you have left me indescribably blue

Yes, my love, you have left me
indescribably blue
