So Glad You're Mine

download

(Crudup)

Information:
So Glad You're Mine was written and recorded by Arthur Crudup (RCA 20-1949) in 1946. Elvis recorded the song at RCA's New York City studios on January 30, 1956. Albert (Sonny) Burgess recorded a cover of Elvis's version of So Glad You're Mine at Sun Records in 1957, but it was not released.

Lyrics:

My baby's long and tall, she's like a cannonball

Say, every time she loves me, Lordly, you can hear me squall
1. She cried, ooo-wee, I believe I'll change my mind
She said, "I'm so glad I'm living", I cried, "I'm so glad you’re mine"

My baby knows just how to treat me right
Gives me plenty loving morning, noon and night
1. (repeat)

When my baby does what she does to me
I climb the highest mountain, dive in the deepest sea
1. (repeat)

My baby's lips are red and sweet like wine
And when she kisses me I get high every time
1. (repeat)
