Where Do You Come From
download
(Batchelor / Roberts)
Information:
Ruth Batchelor and Bob Roberts wrote Where Do
You Come From for Elvis's 1962 movie Girls! Girls! Girls! Elvis
recorded the tune in March 1962 at Radio Recorders. Where Do You Come From
spent only one week on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, peaking at #99 -
the worst performance of any Presley recording to actually reach the chart.
Despite its poor showing on the Hot 100, the song is credited with selling
over a million copies worldwide.
Lyrics:
Where do you come from
Tell me who you are
Do you come from another world
Or from some distant star
Where do you come from
Are you what you seem
Are you real, are
you standing there,
Or is it just a dream
Tell me more about yourself
Do you feel the way I feel
Are you just a vision
Or are you really real
Where do you come from
Angel won't you say
Tell me all that there is to know
And tell me that you'll stay
