Information: Originally issued in Canada, Elvis - A Canadian Tribute was later distributed and produced in the United States. Most songs on the album were written by Canadian composers. Early editions had a gold sticker on the front jacket that read, "Gold Collectors Edition Serial No. _________". Each one was individually numbered. Pressed on gold vinyl, it has been called the "Gold Album". U.S. copies of Elvis - A Canadian Tribute had a special inner sleeve, and Elvis's photo was printed on the record label. Sales exceeded 500,000 copies, qualifying it for a Gold Record.

Elvis - A Canadian Tribute had a seven-week stay on Billboard's Top LPs chart, peaking at #86. It fared much better on the Hot Country LPs chart - #7, and a 18-week stay.
