Information: This was the soundtrack album to Elvis's 1960 film G.I. Blues. All eleven movie songs were included. The cover featured a photo of Elvis in his Army uniform. A special "Elvis is Back!" innersleeve was provided. G.I. Blues sold over 3.5 million copies, easily qualifying for a Gold Record, which was certified by the RIAA on March 12, 1963.

G.I. Blues entered Billboard's Top LPs chart in October 1960, at #6 - the highest debut position for any Elvis LP. In six weeks it was the number one album in America. G.I. Blues remained number one for 10 weeks, although they were not consecutive. The total 111-week stay on the chart was the longest for any Elvis record.

The song Tonight’s All Right For Love wasn't included in the American release, but showed up in foreign releases. The first release in the United States was in the album A Legendary Performer, Volume 1.
